Our charity partner Design for Dignity (D4D) hosted their annual Spirit of Design fundraising event in Chicago this month. Renovation Angel was a Gold Sponsor for the night, and Project Manager Lara Richmond attended the event on behalf of the Renovation Angel team.
A Night for Charity
D4D event Co-Chairs Mary Pat Wallace and Barbara Todd welcomed over 424 guests to enjoy craft cuisine and cocktails all while celebrating the impact Designs for Dignity has made over the past year. Raffle prizes included a one week stay in Monterey and a ViSpring Luxury King Bed courtesy of Chicago Luxury Beds!
Over $173,000 was raised to support their mission of empowering lives through design.
The money raised at the event will help make a huge difference in the Chicagoland nonprofit community. “Designs for Dignity takes pride in knowing that each dollar donated is multiplied tenfold through donated materials and volunteer design hours,” said Jen Sobeki, CEO of Design for Dignity.
Last year, D4D impacted the lives of over 4000 people. They deployed over $500,000+ in products into the nonprofit community, and had 977 volunteer design hours donated (valued at $122,125!) This year, with over 20 projects in progress, these numbers are surely likely to climb.
